These are questions that we get asked often, if you feel like your question is missing come find us on Discord so we can add it to the FAQ for future readers.
- The winning deck of a game leeches elo points from the losing decks.
- If you win from a high elo deck as a low elo deck you take more elo from them.
- This means the closer elo ratings are of competing deck the less gain there is for the winner.
- In games with more opponents there is more elo gain potential as you get elo from each opponent you beat, but there is also more risk of losing elo.
To do so, press the circle in the top right corner and click on "My Account".
Firstly, the guest player creates a playgroup.gg account. Then there are two ways of claiming a game:
1.After creating a playgroup.gg account, the guest player joins the playgroup which the game was played in (the admin of the playgroup sents an invitation link). From the playgroup game page the guest player can now tie that specific game to their account by clicking on the “claim game” button.
2.Alternatively, non-guest players that were in that game can provide the guest player with a “claim link” from which they can tie the game to their newly created playgroup.gg account. This method doesn’t require the guest to become a part of the playgroup that the game was a part of.
To do this, you first of all need to be an admin of your playgroup. If you navigate to your playgroup page, the Discord icon should be visible next to the other playgroup setting icons.
If you're not an admin you can click on the playgroup member setting icon to check who is.
When you track a game with an Ultimate Supporter whatever deck theme you picked will be selected. If you don't have a selection the app will pick a random theme for your deck. If you prefer to always use the default theme you can pick the "Default Theme" for your decks.
We recommend that one player uses a desktop version of Playgroup and controls and streams that to the rest of the group. We are working on a 'multiplayer' version of the Playgroup app that should be available Q3 2024 so that everyone can use their own version of Playgroup op any supported to device.
We love to integrate directly to Spelltable but so far they have not responded to any of our queries.
COmptitive Rating is based on the average turn your deck wins with the following brackets.
- 1-5: Competitive
- 5-10: Casual
- 11+: Jank
This should help you find even matches, if your deck always wins turn 11 than it makes no sense trying to compete against a deck that wins turn 4 on average. We will continue to tweak these values based on feedback, we are a community tool so if you feel like you have good arguments to tweak the ratings let us know.
Estimated Deck Power is calculated based on your deck's current Elo rating compared to other deck's Elo ratings normalized to a value between 0 and 10. New decks get a 1500 elo rating which should be around a "5" in Deck Power. That's why it's also important to check the confidence factor. This value tells you how confident we are that your Deck Power is accurate. Confidence increases by playing more games, against more types of decks and more pilots.
We are currently discussing how to roll Deck Power, Confidence Rating and Competitive Rating into one variable to more easily review deck power. If you have thoughts about this please join us on Discord to discuss.
