Playgroup Playscore
Playscore is a points-based scoring system for MTG Commander leagues. Earn points for good plays, lose them for unfun strategies, and climb a leaderboard that rewards how you play.
Reward good play
Earn points for eliminating opponents, drawing first blood, and helping another player survive. Good Commander gets recognized.
Price the unfun stuff
Lose points for infinite combos, excessive tutoring, mass land destruction, and 10-minute turns. Win how you like, it just counts.
Mostly tracks itself
Most actions are detected automatically from your game data. A few quick counters handle the rest.
What is Playscore?
Playscore is an alternative scoring system for Commander leagues. Instead of ranking players purely by wins, it awards and deducts points based on in-game actions, painting a more nuanced picture of how someone actually plays.
The penalties are not about banning strategies, they are about pricing them. An infinite combo or a 15-minute turn can still win you the game, but Playscore reflects the cost it puts on everyone else's fun. The result is a leaderboard that rewards players who win in ways the table actually enjoyed.
