Objectionable content and abusive players
We have zero tolerance for objectionable content and for players who abuse other players. This covers everything players put on Playgroup: text chat, voice chat and camera in games, usernames, deck names, profiles, lobby names, and playgroup names, pages, logos and banners. Objectionable content includes harassment, threats, hateful language, sexual content, graphic violence, content that is illegal and pretending to be another person.
To report a player from a public game, use Report a player on the game board, or Report on the page of the finished game. To report anything else, such as a name, a profile, a playgroup page or a message in a game with your own playgroup, write to moderation@playgroup.gg with a link to it or the player's username. A person on our team reads every report and acts on it within 48 hours.
When content breaks these rules, we remove the content. When a player posts it or abuses other players, we restrict or remove the account. In public games we follow the restrictions in section 11. For serious or repeated abuse anywhere on Playgroup, we remove the account.
Conduct in public games
Public games on Playgroup Live are games you play with people outside your own playgroup. In them, in their voice and text chat, and on camera, you may not harass, insult or threaten other players, use hateful language, cheat or deliberately ruin a game for the others, or use an offensive name or deck name. If you play on camera, point it at your play area: don't show anything sexual, violent or hateful, don't film people who haven't agreed to be on camera, and don't record or share another player's camera.
A playgroup's logo and banner show on its public page, on the language hubs and in its lobbies, so the same rules apply to them: nothing sexual, violent or hateful, and only pictures you have the right to use. We remove a logo or banner that breaks these rules, and the playgroup's admins can upload another. To tell us about one, write to moderation@playgroup.gg with the playgroup's link.
Any player can report another player from a public game they both played in. A person on our team reads every report within 48 hours. When a report is made, the text chat of that game is attached to it so we can see what happened. We don't record voice or cameras (the only camera picture we ever get is one you choose to attach to your own feedback), so if something happened there, tell us what you saw or heard. We never tell the reported player who reported them.
If we find that a player broke these rules, we restrict their account from public games: they cannot join, create or watch public games while the restriction lasts. The first restriction lasts 24 hours, the second 7 days, and the third is permanent. For a threat of violence we may go straight to a permanent restriction. Games with your own playgroup and the rest of your account are not affected.
- First 24 hours
- Second 7 days
- Third Permanent
We email you when we restrict your account, with the reason and how long it lasts. If you think we got it wrong, reply to that email or write to moderation@playgroup.gg and tell us what happened. A person reads every appeal, and we lift a restriction that was a mistake.
