Delete your Playgroup account
This page explains how to delete your account in Playgroup - EDH Tracker, our app for iPhone and Android, and on playgroup.gg. It is one account: when you delete it in one place, it is deleted everywhere.
Deleting your account does not cancel a paid subscription
If you pay for Playgroup, cancel your subscription first, or the payments continue after your account is gone. Sign in on playgroup.gg and open Subscriptions in the account menu, or email support@playgroup.gg.
In the app
- Open the Profile tab.
- Tap the settings button at the top right.
- Under Delete my account, type DELETE and tap Delete my account.
On the website
Sign in on playgroup.gg, open your account settings and tap Delete my account at the bottom of the page.
By email
If you cannot sign in, email support@playgroup.gg from the email address on your account, and we delete it for you.
What is deleted
- Your username becomes "Deleted User" and your email address is replaced, so the account no longer has your name or email.
- Your password is replaced and you can no longer sign in.
- Your profile becomes private, and a published Commander profile stops showing.
- Your decks are renamed "Deleted Deck", made private and archived.
- You leave all your playgroups.
- Your API keys stop working and the app stops sending notifications to your phones.
Deleting cannot be undone.
What is kept, and why
Commander is played with other people, so your games are part of their records too. We keep these without your name or email:
- Your game records, including what happened in each game, so other players' stats and ratings stay correct. Your seat shows as "Deleted User".
- Your achievements and records of how the account used Playgroup.
- Player reports and restrictions, as a moderation record.
- Payment records, for 7 years, as Dutch tax law requires.
