Rewind 2025, Playgroup Leagues and more

It's been a while since we shared an update on what we've been working on, so let's go through the latest changes from the past few months.

Rewind 2025

Your Playgroup Rewind for 2025 is now live! These are living stats and will continue to update as you keep playing throughout the year.

• This year includes a playgroup-level Rewind with fun highlights from your group’s year so far. Alongside the dynamic Rewind, we’ve also added a static infographic you can share or even print out and hang above your bed if you’re really proud.
• You can find it via the lightning icon on your playgroup page (or the mobile hamburger menu under View Rewind).
• Your personal Rewind is on your profile page, same as last year.
• Unfortunately, there are no t-shirts this year, as there was not enough interest last year to justify the effort.

Leagues

Leagues are here! Leagues let you group games in whatever way makes sense for your playgroup. Running a special Commander night? A cEDH event? Precon-only games? Tracking 3-player vs 4-player nights separately? Leagues have you covered.

• Each league has its own leaderboard, ELO, and detailed stats. Your regular playgroup stats will still include everything: games from all leagues as well as non-league games.
• Playgroup admins can create leagues anytime on https://Playgroup.gg. Games can be added retroactively to a league after they finish on the website, or before they start from the Start Game screen in the tracker app (you’ll need the latest app version, 4.3.0, for this to show up).
• Every playgroup gets one league for free to try the feature out. To unlock unlimited leagues, only one member in a playgroup needs a Supporter Pack.

Device Sync

Everyone in the pod can now open the same Playgroup.gg game on their phone, tablet, or laptop and track life totals, commander damage, etc., with updates happening in real time. It’s perfect for SpellTable sessions, but it also works great for in-person games when only phones are available.

Website features

The website also got tons of new and interesting features you might not be aware of:

• A new Salt leaderboard
• Playgroup-wide deck usage stats, including a very nice-looking bubble chart
• A clean overview of your games per month
• Your deck’s Playgroup ELO history is now viewable by clicking on it from the deck leaderboard, giving you more insight into your ELO losses and gains
• Various game filters: want to find all games won by combo? Now you can!
• You can now sort your decks in various ways: want to play your lowest win-rate decks or your slowest decks? You can now easily figure out which is which.
