Star Trek MTG release date: when does it come out?

Star Trek releases on November 20, 2026.

Magic: The Gathering | Star Trek releases on November 20, 2026 as a Universes Beyond crossover. Announced at MagicCon Atlanta, the set pulls crews, adversaries, and starships from across 60 years of Star Trek into Magic. A dedicated Star Trek Commander set (TRC) ships alongside the main expansion, so the release includes Commander precons.

Wizards has confirmed four Commander precons, themed after iconic Star Trek crews, fleets, and armies. Full decklists are not out yet, but seven legendary commanders have already been spoiled in the TRC set: Captain Kirk, Boldly Going, a Bant (green-white-blue) mythic that buffs Spacecraft and tutors a basic land or Starship Enterprise; Kirk, Enterprising Captain (red, wide aggro with impulse draw); Spock, Logical Choice (blue card draw); Picard, Steadfast Captain (white +1/+1 counters); Benjamin Sisko, Besieged (green top-of-library); Borg Queen, Perfection Manifest (black artifact assimilation); and Trelane, Squire of Gothos (blue evasion). Captain Kirk signals that the Spacecraft type, introduced in Edge of Eternities, returns here. As each deck is confirmed and Archidekt decklists publish, the precons will appear below with playrate, win rate, ELO, average game length, and a one-click Playtest in Playgroup Live button.

Set codes on Scryfall: TRK (main expansion) and TRC (Star Trek Commander). Card spoilers on this page update daily from Scryfall as previews continue.
