Reality Fracture

Reality Fracture releases on October 2, 2026. Wizards has positioned it as a climactic event set in Magic's current Jace-centered story arc. The set takes place in Jace Beleren's Echoverse, an alternate reality populated by twisted reflections of familiar characters. Current preview coverage describes Hexhaven as a dark reflection of Strixhaven with five allied-color colleges: Fatehold (WU), Theorix (UB), Stingerquill (BR), Konstrari (RG), and Vigorbloom (GW).

Six Commander products are confirmed. Multiverse Reforged is a four-color (WUBR) 100-card deck led by a new version of Jace Beleren, built around replacing tokens with alternate-reality versions of familiar Magic creatures, with 16 new cards and borderless commanders. Alongside it come five mono-color Foundations Commander Decks: Calling All Angels (white), Keen Engineering (blue), Wretched Ranks (black), Reign of Dragons (red), and Tramplesaurus Rex (green), each with a traditional foil face commander and 99 non-foil cards. When full decklists are revealed, every precon below gets playrate, win rate, ELO, average game length, and a one-click Playtest in Playgroup Live button.

Early Scryfall previews show the echoed-pair design in the card file. Chandra, Torch of Defiance is mirrored by the mono-blue Chandra, Chill of Compliance; Garruk, Curse Breaker by the mono-black Garruk, Veiled Butcher; Ajani Resolute by the mono-red Ajani Unrelenting; and Tinybones, Pocket Nuisance by the mono-green Titanbones, Towering Heart. Liliana appears as two legendary creatures, Liliana the Faultless and Liliana the Repentant, and Jace's own card is The Theorist, Jace Beleren. Collector treatments include shattered mirror cards, facet foils, and serialized throwback full-art headliner cards.

Reality Fracture Prerelease Guide

Prerelease events run September 25 through October 1, 2026 at WPN game stores, the week before the set's October 2 release. Each Prerelease Pack contains six Reality Fracture Play Boosters, a traditional foil promo card, a deck box, and a Spindown die.

The format is Sealed. Build a 40-card deck from your six boosters plus basic lands provided by the store, then play a few short matches. Prerelease is also the first chance to open echoed pairs, which appear in every Play Booster. Find an event through the Wizards store locator.

Reality Fracture Draft Night

Draft Night is a four-player draft kit built for the Pick-Two format, where each player drafts two cards at a time instead of one. The box holds 12 Reality Fracture Play Boosters, 1 Collector Booster, 90 non-foil basic lands, 10 double-sided tokens, and a draft insert that walks the table through setup.
