Magic: The Gathering | Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles launched on March 6, 2026 as a Universes Beyond crossover. Unlike most set releases, TMNT shipped with a single Commander precon: the five-color Turtle Power! deck. The deck is built around Partner—Character select, which lets you pick any two creatures with that ability as your commanders, including Leonardo, Donatello, Raphael, Michelangelo, and Splinter.

Leonardo, the Balance is the face commander. Donatello adds Mutagen token value, Raphael doubles damage from creatures with counters, Michelangelo brings Food and counter support, and Splinter makes Mutagen tokens when nontoken creatures leave the battlefield. Heroes in a Half Shell is a five-color payoff in the deck, not a Partner—Character select commander.

Set codes on Scryfall: TMT (main set) and TMC (Eternal-legal cards).

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles FAQ

When did Magic Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles release?
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles released worldwide on March 6, 2026. The set codes are TMT for the main set and TMC for the Eternal-legal cards.
How many Commander precons does TMNT have?
Just one: the five-color Turtle Power! deck. It packs in Partner—Character select cards for Leonardo, Donatello, Raphael, Michelangelo, and Splinter, so each legal pairing plays differently.
What is Partner—Character select in TMNT?
Partner—Character select is a variant of Partner that lets you have two commanders if both have that ability. In the Turtle Power! deck, Leonardo, Donatello, Raphael, Michelangelo, and Splinter all have Partner—Character select.
Which two commanders should I lead with?
Leonardo + Splinter gives the deck a broad token-and-counter plan: Leonardo rewards token creation with teamwide +1/+1 counters, while Splinter creates Mutagen tokens when nontoken creatures leave the battlefield. Try Donatello + Michelangelo if you want more token and Food setup.
Can I playtest the Turtle Power deck before buying?
Yes. The precon on this page has a one-click Playtest in Playgroup Live button. Click it, sign in if needed, and you land in a fresh solo game with the Archidekt decklist imported. Choose your Partner—Character select pairing at the table.
Are the TMNT cards Standard legal?
Cards in the main TMT set are Standard legal under Wizards' Universes Beyond aligned-formats policy. Cards in the TMC Eternal set are legal in Commander, Legacy, and Vintage but not Standard.
