When did Streets of New Capenna release?
Streets of New Capenna released on April 29, 2022. The set codes are SNC for the main set and NCC for the Commander precons.
What are the five Streets of New Capenna Commander precons?
Bedecked Brokers (Brokers) led by Perrie, the Pulverizer; Cabaretti Cacophony (Cabaretti) led by Kitt Kanto, Mayhem Diva; Maestros Massacre (Maestros) led by Anhelo, the Painter; Obscura Operation (Obscura) led by Kamiz, Obscura Oculus; Riveteers Rampage (Riveteers) led by Henzie "Toolbox" Torre.
What are the five crime families in Streets of New Capenna?
Each family pairs a three-color identity with a signature mechanic: Brokers (WUG) use shields counters, Obscura (WUB) use connive, Maestros (UBR) use casualty, Riveteers (BRG) use blitz, and Cabaretti (RGW) use alliance to reward casting creatures. Each precon is built around its family's mechanic.
Which Streets of New Capenna precon is best for new Commander players?
Cabaretti Cacophony. Casting creatures to trigger alliance and going wide with tokens is the most straightforward gameplan of the five. Riveteers Rampage is a close second if you prefer blitzing in cheap aggressive creatures.
Can I playtest the Streets of New Capenna precons before buying?
Yes. Every precon on this page has a one-click Playtest in Playgroup Live button. Click it, sign in if needed, and you land in a fresh solo game with the Archidekt decklist already imported.
Are the Streets of New Capenna Commander cards Standard legal?
Cards in the main SNC set were a Standard-legal release. The Commander-only cards in the NCC precon decks are Commander, Legacy, and Vintage legal but were not printed in Standard.
